Child Care CPR Training

Our American Heart Association child care CPR training is ideal for all childcare providers, daycare centers, and babysitters. The CPR, AED, and First Aid for Childcare Providers course offered by Save-A-Life ins OSHA compliant and approved by federal, state, municipal and private organizations.

Additionally, the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) requires all Illinois child care providers who serve low income families through the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) have child health and safety training, specifically CPR/First Aid certification.

Note: Updated Illinois standard requires face-to-face learning. Online or eLearning training is no longer in compliance with the standard.

Our Child Care First Aid/CPR Certification Includes:

  • General principles of first aid including soft tissue injuries, bone and muscle injuries
  • Medical and injury emergencies, including diabetic emergencies and anaphylactic shock (and how to use an epi-pen)
  • Environmental emergencies (optional additional module)
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups (infant, child, adult)
  • Heimlich Maneuver
