Pediatric Advanced Life Support – PALS certification is an advanced instructor led course using video-based lessons and a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS certification course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children. This course is designed for the healthcare provider who responds to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.
Course Content:
This course is for Healthcare Professionals who respond to emergencies in infants and children. Students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations guided by our instructors and complete a written exam. A passing score of 84% or better is required before your card can be issued.
Course Length: 12 hours for new certification, 8 hours for renew certification.
Full participation is required, attendance, and arriving on time are mandatory for class completion and certification.
